A special edition of Average Magazine is now available for the taking at International Orange. The 16 page field guide explores the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point and its surroundings, bringing to light the quiet details and human stories of daily life at and around the bridge.
The exhibition's opening was last night at Fort Point (at the south anchorage of the Golden Gate Bridge) and I have to say it was a particularly surreal night. Strong winds are no stranger to the Fort, but even the Rangers of this National Park commented how it was a particularly gusty evening. Cocktails blowing out of their glasses at this Vertigo landmark only made for more laughter & ambiance. The show of 15 local & international artists is truly stunning and is unlike any exhibition I've seen in the Bay Area. Be sure to make your way down there in the coming months. The show, organized by the For-Site Foundation to celebrate the Golden Gate Bridge's 75th anniversary, is up through October.
